Our Story

It started in an airplane hangar.

In January 2017, three pilots in Palm Beach County looked at the political landscape and decided to act. Armed with the newly published Indivisible Guide – a roadmap for grassroots resistance written by former Congressional staffers Ezra Levin and Leah Greenberg – they sparked what would become one of Florida’s most committed local chapters of a nationwide movement.

From that hangar, we grew fast. Weekly meetings in West Palm Beach built our leadership team and our purpose. We showed up at Marco Rubio’s and Brian Mast’s offices. We rallied for the ACA and Planned Parenthood. We made phone calls, wrote letters, marched, and refused to be ignored. Our motto said it all: DEFEND. RESIST. PERSIST.

We persisted through two years of resistance — and then we evolved.

In the lead-up to the 2020 election, we launched the Neighbor Network for Good Government (N2G2), a community organizing program focused on voter registration and turnout. The result? Palm Beach County delivered in record fashion for candidates who shared our values. That win belonged to all of us.

After 2020, we turned our energy toward the communities that too often get attention only during election years. We showed up in underserved neighborhoods because we believe every community deserves to be seen, supported, and included in the democracy we’re all fighting to protect. That work continues today under a new motto: EMPOWERING CHANGE.

And now? Here we are again — energized, clear-eyed, and ready.

The fight to protect democracy from autocracy and consolidation of power is real, it’s urgent, and it’s happening right here at home. We’ve been doing this work since 2017, and we’re not stopping now.

Thank you for being part of this. Together, we are indivisible.
