SHERIFF BRADSHAW NEEDS TO HEAR FROM YOU TODAY!

| Friend, Please Take one minute to demand Sheriff Ric Bradshaw limit his immigration enforcement actions from the 287(g) program that can lead to separation of families and deportation of our immigrant neighbors, friends and loved ones. Behind the headlines, a disturbing reality is unfolding in our own backyard: immigrant families in our community are living in fear targeted by aggressive enforcement tactics that undermine due process and dignity. Masked and unidentified Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) agents are detaining and deporting longtime residents. In Florida, the threat has escalated. With Governor DeSantis pushing his state as the “blueprint” for extreme immigration enforcement, our own Palm Beach County (PBC) is now deeply entangled in ICE’s network through the 287(g) program. This program allows state and local law enforcement, including the Florida Highway Patrol and all county jails to act as ICE agents. Even local colleges and universities are being pressured into compliance. Data from the latest Trac Report shows that 71% of ICE detainees have no criminal record. They are our neighbors, coworkers, business owners, and parents who contribute to Florida’s economy in agriculture, construction, healthcare, and beyond. We cannot let this continue. The Palm Beach County (PBC) sheriff’s office is charged with enforcing state and local laws and providing for the security and safety of PBC residents. But their resources could be stretched thin if they are also assisting ICE in the apprehension and detention of immigrants. |

| Together, we can stop the expansion of internment camps like “Alligator Alcatraz” in the Everglades and end the silent suffering of immigrant families in our communities. Let Sheriff Bradshaw know that we are all watching to ensure that PBC remains a good and safe place for everyone. |
